How We Started
The Knowledgeable Dachshund Foundation began with a simple idea: one person offering free handyman help to neighbors. It quickly turned into something much bigger.
We realized that there are people in our community—especially seniors, people with disabilities, families struggling financially, and others going through difficult circumstances—who sometimes have relatively small home repairs they simply cannot afford to have professionally completed.
Instead of watching those problems get worse, the Foundation was created to bring together volunteers, donors, local businesses, and skilled tradespeople to help.
Our Mission
To provide free labor for basic home repairs and small improvement projects for people in need while bringing the local community together to help its neighbors.
Where We Serve
We are based in the Stewartstown area and primarily serve York County, Pennsylvania.
